Client Case Study #1: Pharmaceutical Recruitment

  • EMG was tasked with hiring 20 to 25 Medical Education Professionals ranging from entry to director level for a Fortune 20 Healthcare company.

  • Two full-time consultants were assigned, with an initial estimated completion date set at 90 days. The consultants filled all positions early and under budget.

  • The 90-day engagement began in September of 2001 and developed into a national long term relationship with the client that continues today. Currently, we have consultants on- and off-site across the country supporting approximately 50 hires per month.

  • Over a 30-month period, Empyrean was engaged in three major HR and Recruiting initiatives for a Fortune 100 Financial Services company.

  • Project teams ranged in size from 2 to 16 consultants throughout the engagement, based on client need.

  • EMG helped reduce cost-per-hire, increase productivity, and implement training programs integral to the client’s way of conducting business across five subsidiary companies within the U.S. and Canada.


Client Case Study #3: Vendor Management Services

  • At client request, Empyrean implemented a vetting process to ensure that all temporary agencies and search firms were presenting to our client in the proper manner.

  • A preferred vendor’s list was created for companies that met our client’s approved standards.

  • In conjunction with other EMG services, the client experienced a drop in cost-per-hire by more than 50%. Vendor fees were negotiated for search fees, from rates of 25-30% to rates not to exceed 15-20% of base salary. Temp agencies’ rates also dropped by 5-10% on hourly charges.

  • EMG consultants currently oversee the relationships with temporary agencies and search firms throughout the U.S. Strategic Search Group, a division of EMG, provides staffing support for temporary to full time positions.

Client Case Study #4: Financial Services Recruitment

  • EMG was engaged to identify and hire several Regional Sales Managers in a 60-day period commencing shortly before Thanksgiving.

  • EMG Sourcers screened and identified candidates for a pipeline. Six candidates met with managers over 2 days.

  • The first hire was made within 8 days. Three other offers were made and accepted in the first 30 days. A total of 12 hires were made under the contract.

  • The prior time-to-fill was 3 months with a 10:1 interview-to-hire ratio. With EMG’s help, all positions were filled in 60 days, and the ratio was reduced to 3:1.
