About the John Kulick Memorial Golf Outing

On behalf of the Kulick Family and the organizers of the First and Second Annual John Kulick Memorial Golf Outing, we would like to thank everyone for your gracious support.

2007 marks the 3rd year of the John Kulick Memorial Golf Outing (Click here for the history of the event). Coincidentally, the event is going to be held in August this year, which marks the exact month of the 2-year anniversary of John's death. All proceeds will benefit the newly created Emergency Responders Assistance Fund , which helps local emergency responders like our Police, Fire and EMS professionals when they or their families are in need. As part of this fund, as in past years, money will also be set aside in a fund for John Kulick's daughter, Amanda.

The opening ceremony of the event will feature an FDNY bagpiper and a local police color guard, as well as a tribute to all of the local Bucks and Montgomery County heroes who died while serving in the war in Iraq .

About John Kulick

John was a true hero who dedicated his life to fighting for this country and helping others. In his everyday life, he was a firefighter and EMT who served Bucks and Montgomery Counties during various times of his career. In response to 9/11 after seeing the amount of firefighters who were killed in the World Trade Center, John signed up for the PA National Guard and gave his life fighting for his country, leaving behind a young daughter as well as many friends.

The John Kulick Heroism Award

In memory of Kulick, last year marked the first year the John Kulick Heroism Award was presented to an individual in the community who demonstrated the same loyalty and dedication to serving the community as Kulick. This year the award will be presented to DA of Montgomery County Bruce Castor for his efforts and continued support in honoring our soldiers who have died, as well as for his work in prosecuting sexual predators during his tenure as DA. The award will be presented to DA Castor at the golf outing dinner.
